any ideas???

so im surfing the web for things to sew,etc for the baby. i have a few ideas already but is there anything you guys know of i can make at home or in spare time at work?

i have:
blankets, burp cloths, booties,beanies, mobile.... i think thats it??

any of the ones above if you have ideas still let me know! i love making stuff.

how about bibs & crib sheets? and what ever you do DON'T get a crib with drop down sides! they recall those all the time.
and you might as well make enough to leave some at your relatives houses, spares for the car etc. less stuff to haul around each time!

ooo good idea for extras!!! as for the crib...we already bought one and its a 4-in-1. it doesnt drop down but it does transform into rails BUT they are separate parts.

Are you only making stuff you are knitting ??? Or can you sew like pillowcases for the baby pillow? I made those for my daughter by hand out of all kinds of cute baby fabrics. They are the ones that you put the pillow in the middle half of the case. Instead of the end. So the pillow won't fall out and it's safer for a baby. They worked out great for the baby pillow. And you can go crazy with buying fabrics of all kinds of different ones since the pillow is little and you don't need too much to make just one. So therefore you can have different fabric patterns. That is what I did and my daughter still uses hers.....she loves her baby pillow. Of course we have had to throw hers out throughout the years now...but we still use the baby pillow covers for them.

You should make car seat strap covers. The ones at the store are WAY to long for babies but are needed. The straps just go right into the sides of their little faces.
