Leaving for North Carolina

Post by Kathleen on Sat Aug 28, 2010 6:36 pm

Just wanted to let you know that I will be leaving for North Carolina tomorrow morning. I am taking my daughter down there to attend Johnson and Wales University. I will return on Sept. 2. This will be a hard time for me emotionally. I love my daughter dearly...she is also my best friend. Ahhhhhhh....don't know what to say...it will be hard on me. Drat...she will be 10 hours away. Oh well, one has to do what one has to do. So, till then have a good time and I will chat will you all then. Later friends....

Oh my goodnees Kathleen. I have a daughter too. Lucky for me she is now with a part time job but might later go to a community college here in town.
But when the time comes for her to fly the coop.....ya...me and my daughter are good friends too. So I know exactly what you mean. I wish you all the best with her and that she gets the best education ever and that she will return to live in her hometown after school is over for her.
Wow....hope you hang in there. I'm here for ya girl. hug

I'll be thinking about you, Kathleen. I know it's going to be difficult, but just think of the great education and opportunities you are providing for her, to help her through yet another stage of her life. She will always remain your best friend, and loves you, too. Tell us all about it when you return.

Hi...I'm back....thank you all for the good wishes. She is in good hands down there. Fabulous people in that state. I just got home last night.....drove there and back. It is a great university and she absolutely loves it.
I know she will do well there and I am so happy for her. Again, thank you for your kind thoughts and it is good to be back. I missed you all! cupcake
