My ultra sound went great Laura! I have never had one at the end of pregnancy, you could see her moving around, blinking, sucking her thumb, waving, sticking out her tongue! AMAZING! I hope you get to do one at the end as well. Magical is what it is.

I won't scare you w/ my horror stories of birth. lol. Some are good, some are bad, everybody is different. Enjoy being pregnant! Don't forget to let us know as soon as you feel that lil one moving around!! Smile I posted a video on facebook of our lil one. Smile

Like I said though, no matter what it's an amazing experience.

i'm with you on this one Jill!! I was in labor for 16 hours with Sydney. It's so worth it though. I do envy those women as well. I only hope this one goes smooth! Smile

You are due soon aren't you Sprout? I wish you a speedy but healthy delivery both for baby and yourself! That's so exciting that you had an ultrasound now and could see her doing everything.

Jill, I am due August 21, so tomorrow will be two weeks left!! YaY! The doc said I am dilated to 1.5cm, so we have to go another 1.5 and they will admit me to the hospital to start labor. Doing as much as I can to speed up the process. Walking A LOT, but with the way all my labors have been, she will be late. Smile Thank you for your kind words!

Laura, my doc starts counting labor when the water breaks. You can have contractions for awhile before you actually go into labor. My doc calls it pre labor. So, according to when my water broke w/ each kid I was in labor for 16 hours, 6 hours, and then 5 hours. Hopefully this one will be short!! Smile

I tried to put the video up here of my belly moving like crazy, but it wouldn't let me. sad

My water didnt break until right before I started pushing. I went into labor 16 hours before.

oh, and 3 pushes and my daughter was out. Same for my son. with him my water broke 2 hours before I pushed. just remember chin to your chest. makes it faster, and better pushes.

I don't know that there's a clear cut answer to that as sometimes you can go into labor and your water hasn't broken yet. I had a friend that the doctor had to break her water...it just wasn't happening on it's own. My contractions started within 1/2 hour of my water breaking.

The keys words in my belief that the baby will be a girl are: "I think".
