i did it because i do buy dannon products all the time in fact probably over $30 this year. but no reciepts so i will take the $15.

The actual amount a Class Member receives will depend on the amount of
money available from the Settlement Fund described below and the number
of claims made. If the total of valid claims is less than the amount of
money available to pay them, then Class Members submitting valid claims
will receive the full amount of the purchase price they paid. If money
is left over, Dannon will give Activia and DanActive products to
charities in an amount equal to the leftover money. If the total of
valid claims exceeds the amount of money available to pay them, then
each award will be reduced pro rata.

so basically, you may get the amount of your claim or may get less. those that have proof of purchase will get paid before those that don't.

K_L, I got a $10 claim settlement coupon (exactly like this situation) from Mervyn's about 5 yrs ago. They are not [likely] going to contact any of the thousands that apply. The $15+ that they send will not be a check, but instead a coupon for a one time purchase for the amount given off of their products.

It said on the website that the suit isn't settled yet, so we'll see if we get this.
