Free Menopause Kits
I got this email today.............
Thank You for Visiting MenopauseRx.com and Signing Up for a Menopause and Perimenopause Survival Kit
Dear hot freebie chick, (it didn't really say that
)
I'm writing you today with bad news and good news. First the bad news, due to extraordinary volume the original Survival Kit that you requested is no longer available so we will not be able to fulfill your request. We apologize for this inconvenience.
The good news, however, is that due the overwhelming success of the original Survival Kit, beginning October 1, 2009 a new and improved Survival Kit will be available. This kit will include all the product samples and coupons as the previous kit, plus more. It will include, for instance, a month's supply of Remifemin (a $13.99 value)—a black cohosh supplement for reducing hot flashes, as well as a $5.00 gift certificate for use as you like in the MenopauseRx online store. In addition our new kit includes educational materials about menopause and other pertinent health concerns.
Due to the increased postage and handling associated with the new kit, a postage and handling fee of $3.95 will now be charged for this new Survival Kit. Once again, we are sorry for this inconvenience. Please click here if you would to order the new Menopause and Perimenopause Survival Kit to be available beginning October 1, 2009 (or visit www.MenopauseRx.com and click the Survival Kit offer).
Due to the inconvenience you will be prioritized to receive your kit in the first mailing of the new kit.
Sincerely,
Linda Porsun

Laughing over here. That was too cute jersma...
But hey those little hand held fans where a problem anyhow. Someone said there's caught on fire or something?? So it's not worth it. I got mines ages ago, since this freebie first came out last year or the year before. I haven't used my handheld fan, but I kept the batteries. And well, I don't know. Unless this was a different freebie??? I don't take pills unless the doctor prescribes them to me. And even that I'm picky with. Since I'm allergic to all kinds of stuff. Ya gots to be careful now a days what you put inside your body. You never know what's in it. Especially those freebies. Ya know what I mean?

Re: Free Menopause Kits
Well, I use my fan all the time...you know what they say about lightening striking twice, and there never was an official recall, which there would have been if it was a legitimate concern.
Plus, the newer kits did NOT have a fan in them. They had different stuff.
And also I would rather put something NATURAL in my body, than the crap that doctors prescribe. Doctors are making pharmaceutical companies RICH! But I am a natural herbs and supplements type of girl. I used to take nearly 12 different medications to control my OCD...now all I take is natural supplements and I don't need to take nearly as many, and there are NO SIDE EFFECTS!
No DRUGS IN MY BODY whatsoever, I hardly ever even take aspirin. So I certainly don't plan on taking synthetic HORMONES when that time comes, either.
Anyway, Flame, did you ever get even one of these menopause kits? $3.95 is well worth what you get!!! If I were you I would try to figure out a link to the offer and then post it in "Deals you can't pass up" section.

Well, actually I haven't used the fan because I haven't had a need to just yet. And I needed the batteries for something else. But yep. I'm with you. I don't take no prescribed meds unless it's like anibiotics or motrin for my menstrual cramps. And I don't take aspirin either. I take a prescription med for something but I can't help it I have to take it on a as needed basis. But I try to stay away from meds. I do like my Celestial Seasoning Chamomille tea.
With my doing my 5k's and jogging I simply can't be on meds and messing with my body and feeling slougish and sleepy. To hell with that. Like I said only when I really really must. And that's that. I like to be me.

Re: Free Menopause Kits
i eat popsicles to ease the warm flashes. i buy the big ol bag of store brand and it seems to work. that and an ice pack on my neck. i have been very lucky and don't suffer the major stuff, but getting these warm flashes when its over 100 degrees really sucks! now if they would just continue thru the cold season i can save on the heating bill
