if you forget to use your Downy, and you don't use dryer sheets (like me, i only use Downy)...then as a last resort you can put a little bit of Downy on a wash cloth and throw that in your dryer with your wet clothes. i wouldn't recommend it all the time, but it is a good way to save the day if you just forget.

oooo good idea. also, if you use dryer sheets, like me you can cut/tear them in half and double your quantity and still make them smelling good with only half!

be careful doing it with Downy though, only use a wash RAG, cuz the Downy CAN stain........

Talk about Downy. Do you know it's the ONLY brand that I know that makes a fragrance free softener?? Because the one I use is Downy fragrance free. It's the one in the all white bottle. Why it's so expensive is beyond me. This one has no added perfumes, so you would think it would be cheaper to make? I wish I had some coupons for this?? Anyone know how I can get coupons for this ??? Thanks. Any if anyone here knows if there is another brand cheaper than Downy that makes fragrance free softener please please let me know. Thanks a million.

I rub dryer sheets in my hair and my daughters. Not only to keep it soft, but its also a great way to get the static out!!!!

Oh, yeah, I remember when I was younger and I wore pantyhose a lot and I would get static cling on my skirts and stuff. Then I would rub a dryer sheet on my legs and the static cling would be gone.

i used a dryer sheet on my cat once -he was sparking all over the place and he was pissed off by it! was kind of fun to see the sparks when it was dark - gotta love static electricity and cats

Are you kidding me?? How funny that must have been jersma!!! I've heard of people having static but animals?? Never. Wow, that must have been so funny to see!!! Of course I would have done the same thing so the cat would be at peace poor thing.

ismile - next time it is really dry-no humidity- try petting a cat ! hee hee you will both be shocked and the cat will be very pissed.

Yeah, especially in a dark room, then you can actually SEE it!

Seventh Generation makes one (ralphs/krogers sell it) and I think I saw arm & hammer with one.

they say that wintergreen lifesavers spark when you bite on them...you have to be in the dark to see it. I tried it once, and I guess there was a little spark....hmmm
