HAIR CLIPPINGS

Post by krista on Tue Oct 27, 2009 5:50 pm

AS A HAIR DRESSER WE ENDED UP WITH TRASH BAGS FULL OF HAIR AND WE NEVER HAD ANY USE FOR IT UNTIL NOW... AN OLD LADY USE TO COME IN AND TAKE THE BAGS FULL OLD HAIR AND SHE USE TO BRING IT HOME AND PUT IT IN THE HOLES ON HER LAWN MADE BY MOLES! AGUESS MOLES HATE THE FEELING OF THE HAIR AND HUMAN SCENT SO IF U HAVE A MOLE PROBLEM THIS IS A EASY GREEN WAY TO GET RID OF THEM Smile

I have heard that if you are out in the country and you have a garden that you can spread hair around the perimeter of your garden to keep the deer out, too. Wink

Little birds and squirrels love hair to help build their nests. Smile

funny story... my old german shephard use to have a blanket that was bright green and my mom washed it one day and put it on the clothes line to dry and then a couple days later i was sitting outside and looked up at a near by tree and saw a nest with bright green fuzzys all over it a bird must have taken the little fuzzys off the blanket ( the blanket was made of the same fabric they use for electric blankets) and used it for there nest it was so funny to see a bright green nest in the tree lol Smile

Every now and then, we have tiny birds build nests inside our garage. Quite often, we see them "stealing" things to help make their nests, outside.

Awwww...that had to be the cutest nest. I tried it around plants and flowers to deter deer. Didn't work at all. It just adds to the buffet table for the deer...hahahah
